The 3CX IP PBX is a SIP Based for Under $1000
English company 3CX, has announced the launch of their suite of Windows based IP PBX systems, including a free version. Available in three editions; Small Business, Pro and Free, the 3CX Small Business Edition supports up to 25 extensions, while the Pro edition supports an unlimited number of extensions. Small Business edition costs $350 and Pro runs at $895. Why so inexpensive? You need to bring your own server or PC, those can range from $300 to $3,000+, but even with this cost, the 3CX system is a bargain.

What’s With All These Windows Based Systems?
It is interesting to see the wide variety of Windows based IP PBX solutions popping up on the market. I believe these companies, leveraging the “Windows Based” mantra will enjoy plenty of success, if for no other reason than people are more familiar with “Windows Based” rather than “Linux Based.”
