Vonage Mall Kiosk Concept Resurfaces
The idea for a Vonage mall kiosk was one that I approached then Vonage SVP Matt Deatrick with in the fall of 2005. After a few months of planning, we eventually launched a trial in the Galleria Mall here in Buffalo, NY in April of 2006 and over the course of four months learned a lot about the model and how it applies to the sale of residential VoIP Service. While I was surprised with the results (both good and bad) and a bit disappointed that we decided to part ways, I have happy to see Rich’s post about the resurfacing of a Vonage mall kiosk in the Dallas area.
While I am still undecided on the possible long term success of the business model, I have to applaud them for the awesome job they did in revamping the look and feel of the kiosk (thanks for the pic Rich).
It looks nothing like the first one hopefully the face lift leads to an increase in sales!
